Join California Historical Society at the historic Old Mint

Walk through over 150 years of history with a expert docent who will share unique stories, discuss the architecture, and answer questions about the Old Mint.

Docent tours are an hour to an hour half long and meet at the ground level of the Old Mint Building at Mint Plaza not at the top of the steps. The Old Mint is located at the corner of Fifth and Mission Streets in downtown San Francisco. The address of the building is: 88 5th St, San Francisco CA 94103

Things to Know:

  • Please have your tickets ready for the CHS Staff member that will check you in at Mint Plaza.
  • If you do not have a paper ticket ad chose Hold at Box Office, please provide CHS staff member with your name.
  • You will receive a free admission pass to visit California Historical Society's headquarter at 678 Mission Street right before the tour starts.
