Join a Community Workshop looking at the future and long-term transformation of the Old U.S. Mint!

Since 2016, the City and County of San Francisco and the California Historical Society have been working in partnership to transform the 1874 Old U.S. Mint, a National Historic Landmark, into a vibrant, sustainable place for history and culture for the residents of San Francisco, all Californians, and visitors alike.

During their planning process, CHS and the City are reaching out to you to imagine what the project vision for the Old U.S. Mint should include as it becomes a new cultural center and the new headquarters of the California Historical Society. At our upcoming Community Workshops we invite your bold ideas, questions, and creative input to reinvigorate this building which has been underutilized for 80 years.

Spanish interpretation provided.
Free and open to the public.
